Veuve Du Vernay Ice Rose is a sweet full-bodied, light pink, a sparkling wine made from the finest grapes that are sourced from vines that have been patiently cared for by growers who are partners of the house of Patriarche. The house of Patriarche is a Beaune-based wine company owned by conglomerate Groupe Castel which owns the range of Veuve du Vernay sparkling wines.

Tasting notes

Nose: On the nose, it has a fruity bouquet with obvious notes of wild berries. It is a lively, well-rounded wine.

Palate: Ice Rose is full-bodied and well-balanced, with a freshness provided by a fine acidic aftertaste.

In 1907, Mr. Jean Eugne Charmat invented the Cuvee close (“sealed vats”) process of making fine sparkling wine and it has been adopted around the world ever since. Eug¨ne Charmat’s son Robert made a new sparkling wine in the 1960s and named it after the lady from the village of Vernay whom his father esteemed so highly for helping him start his business. Today, Veuve du Vernay is a major brand and is known internationally.
